Possible trigger warnings, mature content, etc. (I just don't know what the protocol is for posting about this kind of topic??)
My drama class did an activity where people wrote down secrets on a sheet of paper and then we did a show on it, and probably a third of the class (8 or 9 people) had written down that they've been raped/sexually assaulted. One person wrote a link to this tumblr blog.
http://confessionsofarapevictim.tumblr.com/
It's essentially a tumblr blog where victims submit their stories, or feelings, etc. and the person who runs the blog posts it anonymously.
The problem is that these people are using this blog as an outlet and are probably not seeking any actual help from therapists, friends, parents, etc.
The question is, is this a good idea? It's possible that after posting anonymously the person may feel comfortable to seek help. Or is it unhealthy and could possibly create even deeper issues? Such as using this as their only outlet and never opening up to anyone about it.
