Bridgit Mendler is currently working on her sophomore album, due this summer via Hollywood Records. Mendler is one of the most talented actresses/singers to come from Disney Channel and has recently completed her run as Teddy on "Good Luck Charlie."

Since the release of Hello My Name Is..., Bridgit Mendler has maintained a presence in the industry with her hugely successful single Ready Or Not, and her second single Hurricane. Ready Or Not was certified platinum in 2013 and Mendler's debut album has sold close to 200k in the US. Mendler has also filmed gorgeous live videos of covers that are dear to her heart. Make sure to check out her singles, and [i]The Hurricane Sessions[/b].
From an interview with Larry LeBlanc, one of Bridgit's managers:

You also manage actress/singer Bridgit Mendler.
Who I am very, very excited about. Her first single “Ready Or Not” (from her upcoming debut album "Hello My Name Is" due August/Sept.) is impacting at radio on June 11th. She’s shaping up very nicely. What’s interesting about Bridgit is that she already has this platform by way of her show on the Disney Channel which is a big, successful show; but she is also genuinely a great writer and singer as well. She’s made a phenomenal record; it’s not the typical Disney pop rock record. It’s really sophisticated. I think that people are going to love it across the board.
[Bridgit Mendler currently stars in the Disney Channel’s “Good Luck Charlie” series.]
I can't! Princess Bridgit coming to slay with the best record from a Disney artist since Queen Duff.
Also, I wonder if Larry's talking Radio Disney Impact Date or CHR/Pop Impact Date. Could she be the first Disney actress/singer to have their first single go for radio adds since the Duff?

SHE IS MY FAVORITE!!! I love her, omg! Can't wait for her debut single to SMASH radio! Hopefully it isn't radio disney! It better get an add for mainstream pop radio... or else. Hollywood Records is doing really well if they send older Disney stars and their songs to pop radio, such as Bridgit!!! She deserves success! She is so sweet
I'm so glad there are new members in this thread. I really want her to be a success.
As she's nearly 20 years old, let's hope she gets the adult artist treatment. Bridgit will be the first Disney actress/singer to begin their music career at such a late age.
Monday, Oct. 8, or Columbus Day, Bridgit Mendler will make her debut performance at the State Fair of Texas. This is definitely a good opportunity to win points with younger members of the family who will no doubt recognize her from her many Disney roles.
She is not playing Season 3 of GLC should have completed shooting either a week or two before that or soon after. I wouldn't be surprised if a handful of dates are announced soon.
Bridget Mendler – Lemonade Mouth Won’t Make A Sequel
Bad news for Disney Channel movie fans: Lemonade Mouth won’t make a sequel. This news was confirmed by Bridget Mendler, one of the movie’s key stars. Here is what she said:
There’s not [going to be a sequel to Lemonade Mouth] unfortunately. We had such a great experience working on the movie, and they tried to figure something out for a sequel, but everyone at Disney felt like the movie had completed its story in the first movie. It was a great experience, and I loved working with the cast members and still see them frequently.
This news sucks. Lemonade Mouth was a fun made-for-tv movie that followed the lives of five fictional teens who all wound up in Saturday detention. That’s when they get the idea to start playing music. One of the girls, Stella, decides to sign them up to play at a school party. The movie starred Bridgit Mendler(Olivia), Adam Hicks(Wen), Hayley Kiyoko(Stella), Naomi Scott(Mo), and Blake Michael(Charlie).
Disney Star Bridgit Mendler on Filming Good Luck Charlie and Recording Her First Album
The 19-year-old actress reveals her plans to attend college next year and what we can expect from season 4 of her show.
How did you get your start in the industry?
"When I was 13, I decided that I wanted to try to act professionally in L.A. I booked a few little jobs and once I started working with Disney, I landed my first pilot for a Disney TV show. It wound up being Good Luck Charlie. It's been a wonderful ride."
What do you have in common with your character on Good Luck Charlie?
"I think it's probably the nerdy parts of myself, like when my character Teddy tries to dance and fails miserably. Those are the parts of Teddy that are most like myself. It makes her more likeable that she's not tremendously cool."
Do you have a video diary of your own?
"I used to keep a video diary! I haven't been doing video diaries as much recently, but I do write in a journal. My friends are my diary. I tell them everything that's going on in my life."
You're releasing an album in June. What type of music can we expect?
"It's fun, funky jazzy pop. We tried to be playful with the melodies and the lyrics. The album is going to be out in September, but the first single, 'Ready or Not' is out at the end of June. It's based off of the Fugees song and has a bit of a hip-hop flair."
Which artists do you like to listen to?
"I'm a big fan of Coldplay, and I love Maroon 5. I really like Florence + the Machine, Feist, and I've been an Adele fan ever since the very beginning. Once her second album started taking off, I was over the moon. I love her first album too. My initial favorites were Bob Dylan and Etta James, and I like that bluesy style."
How do you balance your career with school and your personal life?
"Juggling is tough. I am going to be going to college in the spring; I'll be attending the University of Southern California. I'm looking forward to that! My mom has always been someone who tries to do everything, and she's very successful. She has an awesome career and is well studied. She's a great mom to my brother and I, and I really look up to her in that regard. The trick is to be happy about what you do and always make time for friends and family."
Are you reading any good books right now?
"I just finished The Abolition of Man by C.S. Lewis. It's a fascinating book, though it's not exactly an easy read. I'm in the middle of the second Hunger Games. I'm also reading The Beautiful and Damned by F. Scott Fitzgerald."
What can our readers expect next season on Good Luck Charlie?
"This season, we have a new baby that is about to be born, and you get to see how the family deals with having a new family member. It adds some fun colors to each other characters. There are lots of new relationships and friends. I honestly think that it's our best season yet."

Single late June? NOOOOOOOOOO. But could that mean a second single before the album?
And I know this bitch is not about to pull a Miranda Cosgrove and put her whole career on hold for college. On the plus side, maybe she & Miranda will have some of the same classes.
Also the Fugees' song she's talking about is this:
A clip of Bridgit's new song "You're Something Beautiful" aired during Disney Channel's new episode of Good Luck Charlie on Sunday:
The episode also scored the highest ratings ever for a GLC episode with 7.4 million viewers. Of course, Hollywood Records failed to send the song to iTunes prior to the episode airing & there's no word yet on when her single 'Ready Or Not,' this song or her album will release.
You can, however, sign up for emails from her team when things start getting announced at bridgitmendlermusic.com
