Time and time again, the 'other F-word' issue is brought up on ATRL. But to me it seems like a sizeable portion of the members who end up entering the debate base their opinion on feminism on the most erroneous/superficial kind of knowledge on the term, or for some, on dated viewpoints brought up by their fave.
Let's all agree on one thing, for starters. A definition made as simple as possible.

Even though we now live in the year 2014, some members still throw terms like 'feminazi' around without being aware of its hurtful implications, or overtly refuse any association the feminist movement.
Keeping all of the above in mind, I'm curious as to whether or not you, as hetereosexual or LGBTQ and as male/female/anything in-between, identify as a feminist or not, and why.
Full disclosure : as a cisgender gay man, I am a feminist.
As a (presumably) progressist forum, let's discuss this constructively, ATRL.
Bonus points for whoever identifies the feminist kween in this pic
