This. Dami Im had the same time gap between Alive & Super Love, and she was able to release Gladiator not too long after and the album in October. Why Samantha couldn't do the same is beyond me. April would have been the best time to release Firestarter like Reece Mastin had done with Shut Up & Kiss Me the year before. Releasing Soldier would have been smart to do around August so she could perform on X Factor, like Dami did with Gladiator this year.
Instead, they waited till June to release Firestarter and then they wasted her X Factor performance slot on it.
I hope this one does wonders for her! Either way, she needs to release the album next year, hit single or not! Firestarter was a decent hit, they needed to release the album this time last year. 
It's mid-fall, but hopefully it's good.
