I'll be honest, I have no idea if this song is called what I think it's called. I couldn't find an actual translation since the song title is in Korean so I had to check Wikipedia. So, The Rise of Bangtan is what I got. Anybody who actually knows, please correct me.
Anyway, 2013 was the year I got into K-pop and expect a lot of K-pop to appear on my list. This song is funky, fun and so damn catchy I can't help but sing along even though I don't know any of the words. I know K-pop isn't many peoples cups of tea here, but I recommend you check it out, it's a really great track.

A Yeezus song at 99?! Murder! Seriously though, I do like Kanye West, his songs are great and I often pop on his albums when I'm out running or jogging, but his ego really gets in the way of me properly liking him. I guess that comes in the way of me liking his music.
Bound 2 is a great song though, the chorus is brilliant and the rap verses with the sample sound really good together. Don't worry though Kanye fans, he'll appear later on on my list.

I've been a huge supporter of Leona Lewis since the day she won The X Factor, I remember asking my mother to vote for her all those years ago actually. Her first album was brilliant, one of my favourite albums ever. I wish she'd get back on her feet with her normal albums, she's so talented and she deserved the success.
Modern Christmas songs, typically I'm not fond of. They're either too cheesy or just downright bad, they never seem to hit the nail the head like the classics. Leona proved me wrong with this track, it's catchy, sweet and jolly. Everything wonderful about Christmas. And she sounds brilliant. On yourself, Leona!

Since Azealia Banks mucked her career up, I was looking for a new go-to Female rapper. No disrespect to Nicki, I love her personality and she's super talented at what she does, I'm just not too fond of her music. I stumbled across Iggy on here, after I saw a few threads posted about her. I was hesitant to listen at first, since I wasn't sure I'd really enjoy her, but I'm glad I did in the end.
Work is a brilliant track. Her raps are seriously good and I'll admit I often find myself tweaking hard to this. The hook is great and she's seriously good at what she does. I can't wait for her album. Oh and she appears higher up in my list too.

So, I love Owl City. A lot actually, I would consider myself a big stan, I've seen him live and he's like my third most played artist. But honestly, the music he's been releasing the past year and a bit hasn't been cutting it. Ocean Eyes is a perfect album and so is Maybe I'm Dreaming. But his pop music comes off mundane and boring. His soft electronic music is really great.
So, Hey Anna is a song Owl City released this year as part of an EP. He's teased it so his fans for a while, and I honestly love it a lot. As far as his pop songs go, it's one of his best, it's just fun, his vocals are great and it's catchy. One of my favourite pop songs of the year.

Please comment! I know these songs right now are pretty boring, but it'll get better. I'm also going to be putting up my first album review later, so stay tuned for it!
