I checked a few months back, and 2013 will be the first year in Hot 100 history with not one Black Artist to have gone #1 as a Lead Artist. Hot 100 has existed since 1958.
Edit:To also emphasize the downfall of Black Artists -- Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot Rap Songs, AND Hot R&B Songs charts have all been ruled by more white then black artists this year.
Lead Artist. I was about to write Rihanna's gonna get one in a week, but yeah as for lead Idk. Beyonce and Rih are coming next year. This year was heavily male dominated though. P!nk, Katy, Lorde, and Miley were the only females to get #1s as lead artists right?
