Two priests want to have the refugees pray inside the churches, but people are protesting on Facebook and threatening them:
Quote:
Invectives and far more serious threats were hurled at two parish priests through phone calls , emails and Facebook comments . Grievances that , if on the one hand make you smile for the contents from the extremely colorful and surreal tones , on the other disturbing for the position of verbal violence that drag behind . " Betrayer of Christ and the Italian " , accuses the signatory of a letter that the same pastor of Vicofaro has posted on his Facebook profile on 20 March : " The Muslim religion is not a religion any , by which " ecumenically " integrate. It's a religion , like the Jewish one , which denies the divinity of Christ and exist as such ! You can not and you must not allow a Muslim insults and offends a Christian church with his presence . Traitor , ashamed and repent ! As long as you still have time . "
It was a very nice gesture of the two priests and it's sad that people have to show their discontent by being rude and making threats. But on the other hand if the population doesn't want people of different religions to pray at their churches then the priests should respect them.
Also, what refugees need the most is a roof over their head, food and a place where they are safe so it would've been wiser to shelter the refugees there
