It's that time again! As college basketball fever sweeps across the nation, we here at ATRL turn to what we do best:
pitting celebrities against one another. We've already crowned the
one-hit wonder we'll never tire of, the
best Record of the Year winner, the
greatest #1 hit of all time and
Hollywood's hottest hottie. For our fifth tournament, we're combining two of ATRL's favorite things: pop girls and music videos
Which clips will voters deem the ultimate female video?
Throughout the tournament, everyone will have a chance to participate by voting for their favorite music videos in one-on-one match-ups, whittling down the field of 64 visual delights until we reach our champion. But I need your help before we can begin! This year's pool is based on the
Video Music Award for Best Female Video. The Moonman, however, has only been handed out 30 times, which means we
need to call on some lucky losers to help fill out the draw.
Over the course of several preliminary rounds, you will pick your favorite nominees that didn't win the big prize.
The top vote-getter from each year, along with four wild cards, will move on to the main tournament. Perhaps voters will even decide the VMAs had it wrong and anoint one of these also-rans the victor of March Madness. After all, no one ever accused of MTV of having too much good judgment. Now, let's get started. The
tournament begins later this week, and you don't want your picks to get left out of the draw!
