I mean she went from the bubble pop sounds of BOMT and OIDIA to I'm a Slave 4 U. What kind of 360 turn around. Then she went to urban hits on ITZ like Toxic and MATM. It was such a significant change for pop that she was even portrayed by pop star characters in movies. Then she did another 360 with Blackout at a time when we thought she was done with changing pop music, but she surprised us yet again with an album that is still getting praise and copycats. Circus reminded us that she's still the queen of pop. FF gave her airplay with songs like HIAM which was mainly a success due to her idea to add a dubstep break which other artists copied but failed. She is the only artist who was successful in releasing a song with a break like that. People always put Britney on a higher standard which could mean why some musical choices don't pan out the way they were meant too. Also a lot of main artists haven't released music yet because Britney Jean flopped so they're waiting to hear what Britney releases next to get ideas for their own album.
Britney fans all know that the first single to any Britney album is always a game changer while the second single is a bit more safe. Does this prove her to be a innovative artist?
