First of all - there's only one thing I despise even more than Wendy and it's her audience. They literally clap for WHATEVER she says? When she mistakenly said 'I'm team Taylor' they clap... When she said 'oh no, I meant team Demi'... they clap. It's hilarious.
Anyway, I hate to say it but I'm inclined to agree
I love what Taylor did, and I really admire her for it. Yet I can't help but deep down think there were personal reasons for why she did it - in the sense that it would further her brand and put good things out into the press about her etc.
It's sad really, I was literally a huge stan for Taylor every since the beginning, and whilst I still stan for the music, I find myself really disliking her as a person, it feels as though a lot of the media and some of the GP have really turned on her, she went from in the Fearless days being a bit of a sweetheart in the media, then as SN ended and Red came around they tore her to shreds for being a 'man-eater' etc - but now everyone brands her a mean girl, and a manipulative and controlling person. And unfortunately I've found myself agreeing more and more throughout the 1989 era - and this whole thing with Kesha, as Wendy has explained just further illustrates that.
Nowadays (and I genuinely mean it when I say I find it really sad to say this) it's difficult to view anything positive or nice that Taylor does without a cynical eye. It's as though anytime she does a good deed it is always partially for her own personal gain in some way.
