Not saying it's true, but for some of these couples they probably never grew up with their own sense of identity. A bear looking for a bear is totally fine, but when you dress the same and to the point where your glasses and beard match...that's just weird.

This is true.

My parents have been together forever and they look like siblings.

One of my friends said that my boyfriend and I look alike, and we've been together three years.

Now I can't speak on couples who do it on purpose. Maybe it's just something they do.

But at the same time, it could be a natural occurrence, or maybe they were looking for someone similar to them.

It's really one of those things where you don't really know what happened.

I think it's rooted in insecurity. They want someone that looks like them because it's like the mirror telling them they're beautiful. Minorities tend to have self esteem issues. That's why many gay men are so vain.
