There are no Bollywood TV shows. "Bollywood" refers to Hindi-language movie industry based in Mumbai.
India also has other local movie industries in Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Punjabi, etc., but Hindi movies are the most popular nationally and abroad.
This doesn't even make sense. Quantico is an American TV show. Bollywood is Hindi-language movies.
I already know this but I did not want the title to be too long. and I did not want to say hindi films because I did not want to exclude any other films or tv series in other dialects/languages

Non-Hindi movies are not Bollywood. The other big industries in India are Tollywood (Telugu) and Kollywood (Tamil). There's even "Sandalwood" for some other regional industry.

And Pakistan has Lollywood.

I've never seen any Indian movies except Bollywood (Hindi) and Bengali movies. Before Hindi movies took over, Bengali movies were actually the biggest industry in India, but no one likes good films. They like Hindi movie trash!
I've never seen any Bengali Indian movies. Any recommendations? They're usually more "serious" films without songs, right?

Tollywood (Telugu) and Kollywood (Tamil) are basically the same format as Bollywood because they usually incorporate songs (not all, but usually). The differences are language, region and you'll notice that actors look different (obviously because it's a different part of India so different ethnic group). They're both South Indian movie industries and according to some people, they make better movies, but Hindi is a national language, the actors are whiter and the national language of Pakistan (Urdu) is similar to Hindi so Bollywood dominates domestically and abroad. There are more "serious" movie industries in India, but they're not popular.
I'm actually not that familiar with either, but I found these Telugu movies songs on Youtube and I liked them. The language is strange to me, but these two songs are better than most Hindi movie songs IMO:
i once lived in Durban (largest indian city outside india) for a month and that's all they ever talk about, i need up watching a few and i really enjoyed the ones that has a little less dancing and more story. and shorter as well

I think those are the better ones too. "Fashion" is a good Hindi movie. It has no songs and it has gay characters:
Chak de India has no songs too and it was like a Disney sports movie:
Has anyone seen Bajirao Mastani? It was literally life. Priyanka and Deepika together omg.
I work at a Movie Theater that frequently shows Hindi movies, Telegu and sometimes Tamil as well, so I see a lot. This girl I work with is obsessed with Bollywood films as well, even taught herself Hindi.
