*Rapper Lil Wayne and Shakira will duet on a yet-to-be-named track from the upcoming Santana retrospective "Ultimate Santana," due Oct. 16 via Arista.

Also appearing in one of three new songs on the set is Tina Turner, who performs a new version of Santana’s 2002 Michelle Branch-laced hit, "The Game of Love."

"We got a Grammy with Michelle, and Michelle brought her own spirit and her own innocence and purity," Santana tells Billboard, adding that Turner was the original intended guest on the track, but that label politics got in the way. "However, when you hear these notes that Tina hits, every hair on your body stands up."

The third new track, “Into the Night,” was written and sung by Chad Kroeger of therock group Nickelback. Santana says it has that "kind of chant in a coliseum when your team is ahead, like 'We Will Rock You.' I am very grateful that Chad has shared it with me."

I was vaguely hoping for another Michelle appearance.

Still looking forward to hearing the new tracks, I enjoyed his previous collabs with Shakira and Chad, so I hope these are just as good! I'm also looking forward to hearing Tina Turner's version of The Game of Love, but I don't think it'll be able to touch the Michelle Branch version. :P

Shakira announces kids campaign


SHAKIRA has unveiled a new campaign to raise $200 million (GBP100 million) for the fight against juvenile malnutrition and hunger in Latin America. The Colombian singer announced the initiative at an ALAS Foundation (Latin America in Solidarity Action) event at Panama's Teatro Nacional earlier this month (Jul07). Four concerts will be held in Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro and New York in 2007 in a bid to reach the sum - which will be pumped into joint initiatives with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). Shakira says of the foundation, “ALAS came about because of a social emergency: 350 thousand children die each year due to avoidable causes, 40 million children work and live on the streets. We want an active Latin America, that doesn't give up, united for our children."

If somebody dumped their fiance because they were asked to sign a prenup, then maybe it was a good idea that the other person asked them, seeing as they ended the relationship over something so gawd damn stupid.

I say good idea, Shakira.

The rich one always have to do this... there are plenty of examples, it's a great decision.

If this is true, it's a smart decision. Shakira hasn't been working all her life, releasing albums since age 13, to simply split her money half and half with someone else. It's her money and should remain so. She worked for it. Plus, the guy is reasonably rich enough on his own (his old Pap is a former president).

I would hope Shakira would ask for a pre-nup.

Oh, and the campaign sounds good. Hopefully it can develop into a sort of latin Live 8. If she asks all her friends to participate, it could be a very wonderful event.

Love is love. She is entitled to keep money out of her relationship. In a way it's as if she's saying, "If you're going to marry me, you're going to marry just me, not what I have and own".
