I mean, the majority of people do not know artist by their albums, but by their hit songs. Artist like Katy, Pink and Rihanna are huge because of their unstoppable whirlwind of hits while artists like Beyonce and Gaga struggle to perform similarly.
My point is that if you ask the GP about "Unapologetic" they'll be able to remember it by songs like "Stay" "Diamonds" and "What Now" (
) or if you ask them about TD they remember it by Wide Awake, Part of Me, The One That Got Away etc. With albums like "4' most of the GP can't tell you a single song off the album...
Does this represent that singles are more important than albums to an artist legacy? If not, please educate me.
