Sorry, assuming that they're living in the US, five dollars is inconsequential. I could understand if it were a 5 year old girl, but these people look like adults. Minimum wage in most areas is about 7 dollars, so I don't think it's anything worth beating someone up for. It'll end up costing her more in the end, at least the girl who took the money fessed up.
It just shows how f'ed up some people are. Violence is never the answer.
