Justin Bieber Earns First Adult Contemporary No. 1 With 'Love Yourself'
Justin Bieber continues to reach new chart highs, thanks to his album Purpose, as ballad "Love Yourself" becomes his first No. 1 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary radio airplay chart (dated May 14).
The song previously became his first No. 1 on the Adult Pop Songs airplay ranking and his third No. 1, all from Purpose, on the mainstream top 40-based Pop Songs chart, following "What Do You Mean?" and "Sorry."
Bieber's coronation on Adult Contemporary represents another milestone in his evolution, just shy of seven years after he made his Billboard chart debut at age 15. Says Def Jam CEO Steve Bartels, "Justin has transcended all formats with the music from Purpose. 'Love Yourself' is a wonderful song that has all ages weighing in."
