I was kinda excited for this album of one of best singers of all time, which consist of sassy classic rock covers from the amazing "Best fo You" to the joyful Use Somebody.
#11 Unapologetic - Rihanna
Quote:
Not as good as her previous three efforts, Jump and Right Now are still enjoyable.
#10 Electra Heart - Marina & the Diamonds
Quote:
Containing on of the most badass track of the year, "Primadonna".
#9 Warrior - Ke$ha
Quote:
Kinda a letdown, sound somehow flat (due to the fact that execution "****-pop-rock" idea was half-assed), not as cocky and pussypopping as her debut, still enjoyable somehow.
#8 Ora - Rita Ora
Quote:
Despite containg a few duds, this album still maganes to sound fresh, thanks to tracks like "Facemelt", "Roc the Life" & "Radioactive".
#7 MDNA - Madonna
Quote:
Not really touching any electropop-heights, still it's a really catchy & fun album. More tracks like Love Spent next, please.
#6 Lotus - Christina Aguilera
Quote:
A really good pop album, with 6 awesome opening tracks tuning into somewhat wacky oversinging for the second half of the disc. Still the first half makes it up for them.
I really didn't expetc this album to hit me this hard. One of the very few releases of the last year, that doesn't really have any fillers. A really flawless pop record, enjoyable from start to finish.
#4 Believe - Justin Bieber
Quote:
Honestly I didn't thought a Justin Bieber album would make my year-end list, but this album really proves Justin is a able to pull out a mature, enjoyable, but most importantly a blatantly impeccable pop record. Kudos.
#3 Halcyon - Ellie Goulding
Quote:
As my most anticipated release of the year, I was so excited that I nearly pissed myself. Sometimes I really miss those shiny guitar stings and bubbly that made her debut so inescapable, isntead of that we got a stormy and anthemic tribal-dance record, which plays with water-themes and references Greek mytology in the tracks like Halcyon, Atlantis or Dead in the Water. A real artistic statement from Ellie.
#2 Born to Die - Lana Del Rey
Quote:
I REALLY don't think I should say anything. I let the record speak for itself.
#1 Kiss - Carly Rae Jepsen

When I was thinking about who should take my #1 spot, I actually relistened this album. This infectiously catchy 80's dance-pop throwback powerhouse proves that you can still pull out a brutally good pop record in 2012.
