Honestly, I hope both succeed. I'm sick of people thinking there can only be one female rapper at a time. What happened to the days when all the female rappers won at the same time? Lil Kim, Missy, EVE were all winning at the same time, no competition.
I think Nicki and her fans will be threatened because they're both used to Nicki being #1 and Nicki doesn't like other female rappers joining forces or being in the same room as one. Nicki still has the crown but I do expect some jealousy and envy from her.

No one said that there can only be one female rapper.
They can coexist. Nicki may or may not be as successful as Iggy single-wise this era, but she will open with better numbers for the Pink Print. That being said, both can have a place in the market.

plus if we're really gonna play that game, doesnt nicki have 2 platinum albums? i'd say the gp is on her side, especially with the speculation surrounding her release date.
