Not trying to instigate a fight or anything, but why do some monsters hate Katy, but not the other females that debuted around the same time, and stole some of Gaga's crowns?
Yes, there was a "before Gaga" and "after Gaga" effect concerning pop star fashion. That's undeniable. But the two main culprits were easily Katy and Nicki. And in my opinion, Nicki took it that one step further. Nicki's fashion in 2010-11 was always Gaga-esque. Katy still had her "less is more" moments.
Miley stole Gaga's VMAs crown. For a while there, it looked like Gaga was going to be the new Britney Spears of the VMAs. But now, it's obviously Miley.
Taylor stole her status as the new queen of pop. Between late 2008 and early 2011, it looked like Gaga was going to be the next successor in the "Madonna > Britney > Gaga" line. But now it's "Madonna > Britney > Taylor."
So why do some monsters hate Katy, but they don't care about the other girls who took some of ha crowns?
