UK/international students - let this be where we discuss all things GCSE and A-levels, whether it being revision resources, exams, university options etc!
For those unaware of GCSEs:
Quote:
An examination set especially for secondary-school pupils of about age 16 in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland based on a variety of subjects, ranging from Maths to Drama.
A-Levels:
Quote:
GCE A Levels (or General Certificate of Education Advanced Levels) are qualifications normally studied by most students over two years in year 12 and 13 of secondary school (usually from ages 16 to 18). GCE A Levels are also studied in sixth form colleges or further education colleges.
Most students will study four or five AS Level (Advanced Subsidiary Level) subjects over one year, which they can then choose to study to A Level in their second year of college or sixth form. An AS Level is therefore the first year of an A Level. Most students choose to take three or four A Levels, although only three are necessary to make an application to a course at university.
*English education system. It's not the same all over the UK.
Anyway, my Standard Grades and Highers (Scottish equivalent) were the worst things ever. I'm glad mine are done with. They led me to depression and I ended up having to leave school.
