I guess, but credit must be given that the pop mix actually connected with pop radio audiences. Notice TIHWR didn't connect with pop Audiences. Sides without pop mixes, the highest selling country song without a pop mix would be Chicken Fried...and that has like over 4 million song sales.
Its THE song that made Bro Country officially a thing on country radio (or make it extremely obvious).
I won't knock into JD too much considering most of its sales came from a time when the digital song sales peak hadn't been reached yet
