Hilary Duff is only 23 years old and has accomplished a lot in her career with success in TV, music, movies, two clothing lines, perfumes and a book. In 2008, she left Hollywood Records after the release of Best Of album which she didn't promote at all because she didn't agree with the label's decision to release it. Her last studio album, Dignity, was released in 2007 to positive reviews and managed to go Gold in the US and sell over 1M copies worldwide. Do, you think Hilary can still has a successful music career? (TBH, she was never really promoted well after the Metamorphosis era so I think she could.)

Dignity was such a flawless album! It depends because it's been about 3 years since she's been label-less and yes she's still young and very commercial, but it depends if Hilary still has that drive she used to have to promote herself all over again. She's no longer in the "In-crowd" so she has to gain a following again because she's too old for the Disney image/following she once had. She needs to first release an EP to create buzz, then work on releasing a full length album.
I think if Hilary gets a good label, and makes an album that is a step-up from Dignity but has a good vibe to it that gives it a "Hilary" feel, I think she can pull it off.
I didn't know her last album went gold. What does her overall sales breakdown look like?
Honestly, I'm not sure, but maybe she can shift a few units in Europe.

She's A Disney girl and unless they successfully find a way to break away from that image and establish themselves OUTSIDE of that niche then they cant because their success & the Disney name is intertwined. As they get older & people get over them once they find a new girl and give her a show and I'm surprised she has an album that went 3x Platinum but I looked at her sales and they did nothing but decline from 3x - 1x -Gold. The only one I can think of who was close to doing so was Miley & even she flopped so... eh.

That is why I included the last choice because I believe promo plays a big part in an album selling. Hilary really didn't have good promo at Hollywood Records (but who really has good promo at that record label) Even with Metamorphosis (which went 3x platinum) they only released TWO official singles from that album, it just simply doesn't make any sense.
Dignity could have went platinum here with the songs it had but they dropped the ball after "With Love" came out.
