Judging by other threads, ATRL needs to be educated on transgendered rights so I thought this would be interesting to post.
The Maine Supreme Court ruled that a school violated a trans girls' rights by not allowing her to use the female restroom. The ruling is considered the first of its kind by such a high court.
The bathroom thing always makes me curious. I don't care which bathroom they want to use. I just wonder what goes through their head when making the decision? There was a gay bar I used to frequent when I lived in Portland and they had 2 restrooms. 1 was "for those who want to stand" (aka urinals) and the other was "for those who want to sit" (toilets). There was no "men" or "women". Just bathrooms.
I just have a question, I've read about this girl before and all I kept wondering is if she has had any surgery to remove/change her gender. If not I would actually feel like she did not deserve to win the case considering the fact that her male genitals still exists. Does anyone know the answere to my question?
