Her time as a pop superstar was a fad. She'll never be seen as anything other than what she was in 2009 whereas the other pop girls' have evolved in the public's eyes. She'll basically forever be seen as meat dress girl who was popular for a couple years in the 10s
NO one wants to be surrounded by her any more. She's embarrassing and it's not "cool" to like Lady Gaga anymore. Her most recent album (ARTPOP) is TRASH and the imagery screams "LOOK AT ME. I'VE RAN OUT OF THINGS TO DO".
Applause resonated moderately well with the general public. She's no longer the
center of the pop world like she used to be, but that doesn't make her a fad.
Shes established at this point. Its just that shes become a punching bag for competing pop artists' fans and the media since she was so above and beyond for a good 3 years there, once she started slipping its like everyone got really spiteful and started taking stabs. She has the means to recover but as of right now whether or not she'll utilize her talents in a way that can regain some sort of credible commercial dominance with her pop career is questionable. Cheek to Cheek is a start I guess at least in terms of perception for some. No one here obviously because this forum is inhabited by people that make gifs of Taylor Swift and Kesha their profile photos.
