Beats products sold even better in the early holiday season. Roughly 32 percent of wireless headphones sales over Cyber Weekend were on Beats. AirPods have taken the top spot for wireless headphones in the last several weeks, however, gaining 26 percent of wireless headphone spending in the weeks since the December launch.
Well I mean, I could have guessed this was going to happen since it's a new product and Apple fans are quite delirious when it comes to anything Apple. Let's see how it holds up, I honestly don't see majority of the GP looking at these and going "Oh, I want a pair of those"
I understand that wired headphones are dying and eventually this will be the norm... but it's ridiculous to remove the headphone jack then expect people to pay $180 for these. They should be included with every new iPhone.
I absolutely love mine. Truly the most excited I've been by an Apple product in years.
Quality is better than the regular headphones. They don't fall out at all by itself. They pair seamlessly to all my devices without having to pair them manually.
gross, I had hoped the Airpods would flop so Apple would have to backpedal on their "innovative" approach to headphones (i.e. forcing bluetooth on us and removing a vital port that had absolutely no need to be removed)

Not true.
Most Apple fans trashed the 2016 MacBook Pro, and it was the GP that was happy with it.
To clarify some things, you do not have to buy the (actually pretty cheap for wireless earbuds) AirPods at all or any Bluetooth headphones. I have the iPhone 7 Plus and the included wired headphones did provide better sound than the old headphones, even on my iPhone 5. Digital audio is the way to go.
I recently bought myself Philips bluetooth headphones for 40 bucks and they're amazing. 17 hours of battery life, Active Noise Cancellation and I have physical buttons to control the music and there's a microphone so I can use it for calls. The point is you don't have to spend a ton of money on great headphones, you just have to not buy into brand hype
