so I'm just go ahead and do this. If I think of more songs I'll say so 8-).
I came up with 99 for list version 1.0.
and it begins now!
99. Comeback Kid - Defeated
-Boy was Broadcasting a disappointing album. Wake The Dead is probably my 2nd favorite hardcore album of all time, and then they come back with this? Step it up CBK! New vocalists don't change everything. This song has a great riff though, that's why it made it.
98. Patton Oswalt - At Midnight I Will Kill George Lucas with a Shovel
-Not really music. It deserved a place on here for it's message of the truth. Patton is probably not alone in his dream of stopping George Lucas from making the prequels by any means necessary.
97. Sum 41 - Underclass Hero
-Another disappointing come back. That word is going to come up a lot over the course of this list. This song was catchy enough to keep my interest for a few weeks. The video was pretty crazy too.
96. Foo Fighters - Let It Die
-More use of the word disappointing. I'll only say it one more time in this bunch. The Pretender just broke the record for most weeks in a row at the top of the Modern Rock charts. Pretty impressive. What does that have to do with Let It Die? Nothing.
95. Bad Religion - New Dark Ages
-They played Kroq on Saturday, I missed a bit of it unfortunately. Missing the Rise Against guy coming on stage and ruining Ben's life may come back to haunt me. These guys are never going to stop making music.
94. Dewey Cox - Walk Hard
-He chopped his brother in half :-(. Movie needs to be out now. Soundtrack is quite excellent. "You only care about fruit and touching yourself. Well, **** you."
93. Rilo Kiley - Silver Lining
-So after everyone and their mother's told me to download this band I discovered it was for a good reason. She has a really great voice. Hooray Hooray.
92. Bloc Party - I Still Remember
-Trousers! I said I was gonna say disappointing one more time. This it it. Good song, bad album. How very original 2007! I wonder who would be at Bloc Party's Block Party. Heard Dave Chapelle is doing another one. They should get in on that.
91. Kelly Clarkson - One Minute
-See, Kelly was actually able to come back with a strong album. This is the song after Never Again, so it had to be extra good. I'd say it accomplished that. I imagine a lot of flashing lights in a potential video for this. Blue lights, with a few yellow ones thrown in!
90. One Republic ŠTimbaland - Apologize
-Timbaland has ways of getting people #1 songs. The verses of this song are awesome. Hook gets old after awhile, but still a great song. Also gotta mention Way I Are, which didn't make the list, but I listened to a lot.
89. Dethklok - Hatredcopter
-Top song from an animated band. This show is hilarious, coming on after Robot Chicken on Sundays. Maybe one day they will be as big as they are on the show. Wild **** happens sometimes.
88. Against Me! - Thrash Unreal
-Played Kroq in May, were very good. I liked them back in the Don't Lose Hope days (can't remember what that album was called). Thrash is a great word, it should be used more often in sports. "Cleveland is preparing to thrash Buffalo this Sunday". Works out great.
87. Kanye West - The Glory
-First song from Kanye, definitely not the last. Kanye's mom died recently, and that is very sad. Wonder if he'll play Hey Mama live again. I hope he guaran-damn-tees a win at the grammys this year. Kanye's antics are always fun.
86. LCD Soundsystem - North American Scum
-In Soviet Russia, Daft Punk plays at LCD's house! Ok, that joke is a few years old. And not really funny. Sorry folks.
