WEEKEND UPDATE:
Rihanna's 'Where Have You Been' increases this week, due to not only a kickass American Idol performance, but also for my recent discovery of the remixes. the Hector Fonseca remix has assisted the song in keeping the top spot. also, the recent launch to #4 on iTunes helped as well. i celebrated by listening to the song all day non-stop
in other news, while 'Rumour Has It' drastically drops out of the top ten, Adele's 'Set Fire To The Rain' shoots straight to #2, a new record for Adele on the countdown as the highest peak ever attained for a song by the artist. 'Rolling In The Deep' held that record for a year (#3) until RHI tied.
while Gotye falls to #3, the alternative artist might just be rising back to the second slot next week, given i have on my iPhone an original version of the song and two remixes (Tiesto remix and a DJ Mike D radio remix). at this moment the DJ Mike D remix has brought up appeal and play counts very high for the song. but time will tell, i suppose
the countdown sees many new entries, Katy Perry's 'Wide Awake' being one of them. the top ten will be seeing newbies Grouplove and their single 'Tongue Tied' which launched to #2 in my main playlist for a day or two.
Florence + The Machine's 'Shake It Out' returns after a run of 6 weeks and then moot. and then to wrap the new entries is Karmin's return with 'Brokenhearted'. i don't want to confirm this yet, because there may or may not be a final new entry.
expect the new weekly update on Sunday guys, it's going to be labeled for the week of Monday 28th. no reason other than to show the start of a new week. it makes sense in my head
