The xx's Oliver Sim wants to write song for Beyoncé: 'She is special'
The xx guitarist Oliver Sim has revealed aspirations to write a track for Beyoncé.
The musician described the US singer as having the same level of talent and star-power as Michael Jackson and admitted to being overwhelmed when seeing her perform live last year.
"Beyoncé is very special. I think she's important," Sim told Q magazine. "I think the super-pop thing that supposedly died with Michael Jackson is still there, with her.
"I saw her at Glastonbury and I may have shed a tear. Writing a song for her, that's the dream. The full Sasha Fierce."
Sim confessed that he has eaten out with Beyoncé and Jay-Z, but found it hard to speak to them after feeling too star-struck.
"We all went for dinner. There may have been a husband of hers there. I always had a lot of things I wanted to say to her and I completely choked."
The xx will release their second studio album Coexist in the UK on September 10.
That might be an exaggeration,but she truly is the best performer of our generation(only has some competition from VERY few) and hence the closest thing to him.
No, but she will get there eventually, even MJ loved her and thought she was one of the BEST new performers as he stated about Justin Timberlake. He loved her Crazy in Love song lol.
NO ONE is on MJ or even any of the old school performers level. Tina, Patti, Diana did mention that she will be around for a VERY long time. They should know.
