2008-2013
2008
3rd place: Bon Iver – For Emma, Forever Ago
Beautiful instrumentation sets the tone on Bon Iver’s folk debut. Things are looking good for the Wisconsin band.
2nd place: Lil Wayne – Tha Carter III
Say what you want about Lil Wayne there’s no denying his entertaining yet subtle approach to his lyricism.
1st place: Portishead – Third
Not fluctuating her musical style but then again simply strengthening the core components necessary to make this my top album of the year.
