I am not here for GGGB:R.
Good Girl Gone Bad was not even a seller before the re-release. It had Umbrella, Hate That I Love You, SUAD AND DSTM AND even some of TAB, and only sold 1.1 million a year later, the week before its re-release. Loud has already soared past that total, only 6 months in. In another 6 months, it could almost be at 2 million.
Loud has now sold (well almost) more than A Girl Like Me, which I consider Rihanna's most successful in the US. It also has her best first week sales.
Without the re-release, GGGB would NOT be Rihanna's most successful. AGLM sold 1.3 mill basically off of Unfaithful and SOS.
With only 4k till Loud soars past AGLM's total in the US (which its already probably done in these past two days), LOUD becomes Rihanna's best selling in the US.
If it continues as it is, I expect it to be around 1.5 mill by the next single (either Cheers or re-release single). If they release Cheers before, I think it could go to 2x Platinum and have the re-release push it to 3x Platinum.
Congrats to Loud
If you follow it based off of albums without any re-release it goes like this:
LOUD
A Girl Like Me
Good Girl Gone Bad
Rated R
Music of the Sun.
