Voice Memos is the fruit of a three-year-long collaboration between Miami-based producer/composer Julio Reyes Copello and singer/songwriter Brika, who frequently communicated song ideas via phone message (hence the title). Early tracks from the album earned a massive number of hearts on Hype Machine this year, while blogs like Nerdy Frames raved, "This is sultry and oozing with sexiness--her vocals, the arrangements...everything."
