Is Mommy Dolan's best movie?
I just came from a film festival where I watched Dolan's latest masterpiece Mommy. It's very poignant, hard hitting and funny at the same time. Seriously, I couldn't stop laughing during some scenes even though the topic is very hard. Anne Dorval was brilliant in her role of a mother trying to cope with her child's disease and she easily topped her role in I Killed My Mother. At first I hated the soundtrack because of the inclusion of mainstream artists/songs but scenes during "Wonderwall" are so beautiful and "Born to Die" works so well for a final scene. You should all support indie directors like Xavier and go and see this movie.
