It's hard to really put into words what a great makes a pop voice great, but these five women do it the best. Who has the most distinctive voice - and the voice that works in service of the song? (That's what pop music is about, the song, not the singer). VOTE.

I think Janet's vocals suit the songs she sings and it's very distinctive. The others too...

Rihanna has the most distinctive voice. Once shes on a track you know its her. Some of her songs can only be done by her because she just has that unique tone. live Your Life, Disturbia, Rude Boy, What's My Name, the list goes on.

She doesn't have to touch it. The producers give her hits. She does nothing for them. Maybe sleeps with them...but nothing else.

I voted Madonna but I really like Britney and Janet's as well. Rihanna to me just sounds whiny.

Rihanna - her voice is perfect for pop. But while that is true she still manages to make songs her own regardless. You can not mistake a Rihanna song or hook when you hear it. And she makes everything catchy.
