Usually, when we see an image of an interracial relationship you'll likely see a white and non-white person. On top of that, when people talk about these relationship it tends to be about a white person and some other race.

Also, let's get specific. When we talk about gay relationships, there's usually an issue of not being seen as desirable to a white person. Now, why is the topic of non-white interracial relationships so rare? For example, you will rarely, rarely ever see an Asian and black relationship, let alone a gay one (which was why this was more interesting on Orange is the New Black). However, you will hear complaints among Asian or black men about being undesired by whites. So why don't they make an effort to date each other?

These white + POC relationships are constantly being pushed by the media, and among society themselves, even on here.

Anyways. Anyone can date whoever they want to as long as the love is mutual. In general, there are more white people than not in the United States, so I think that is a big part of why many POC date white people. I think in the media, a relationship of a POC and a white person is actually a positive thing, showing that different people of different races CAN love each other, and that no one is boxed into dating only their race. There definitely are the white gays that don't date POC and vice versa, but there are also the open and accepting people who don't discriminate or box themselves in.

To be completely honest, race is definitely sensitive.

Some people don't give a damn white people won't date outside of white people. Some people are offended white people won't date outside of white people. Ironically, those same get offended at white people who want to date outside their race.It's definitely a double standard and I wish it were easier.

TBH, I think it's a problem if anyone fetishizes a race for whatever reason. It's not flattering, but just weird. I've been hit on by white and non-white people saying "I love middle eastern D" and it's just weird.

Isn't that obvious? If you are in a white majority country most rich people (multimillionaires) are gonna be white.

Why do Asian people not date Black people? Because there is a tendency for both sides to hold some level of racism for the other, unfortunately. I know POC who won't even date within their own race which makes me so sick but

I'd imagine Black and Asian people don't complain about this issue as much since the rejection they get from White people is monumentally more oppressive and destructive to their self esteem.
