Discussion: 2012 CMAs: Full Recap Inside

Achilles.

Blake Shelton was the night's big winner, taking home 3 CMA Awards: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist, and a shared win for Song of the Year ("Over You"). Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town won 2 CMA Awards each; Miranda took home Female Vocalist and Song of the Year ("Over You") while Little Big Town scored Vocal Group of the Year and Single of the Year ("Pontoon"). Hunter Hayes was named Best New Artist, and Eric Church was awarded Album of the Year (Chief). Additionally, country music legend Willie Nelson was presented with the inaugural Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. A full list of winners can be found below.

The Band Perry's performance of "Better Dig Two" and Kelly Clarkson's "Don't Rush" duet with country legend Vince Gill were highlights of the show, as was Carrie Underwood's performance of "Blown Away" and an all-star tribute to Willie Nelson.

I am hoping Kenny, Brad, or Jason Aldean For EOTY. Tim and Kenny may cancel each other out. To me I think it should be shared between tim and kenny.

I hope Carrie gets nominated for AOTY, and although it's highly unlikely.. an EOTY nomination would be nice. I still find it hard to believe she's never won it yet.

Tim and Kenny should share considering they've been on a joint tour for most of the year... But I don't think it works that way.

This year has been pretty good for country music in my opinion.

Better Than I Used To Be deserves a nom though; I think it's the best "hit" by a male artist this year.
