Internationally, they are quite close, with DIL having a slight edge.
Taylor is at 7.7 million, DIL is on avg around 8 - 9 million (and thats the LOW estimate) with 10 - 11 million high end. Taylor is not doing another 1.5 million+ before her next era.
Taylor has been having more success with singles both in the US and WW too + bigger tour.
Taylor has the bigger singles but she definitely doesn't have the bigger tour.
So the only thing 1989 outshines is in US album sales, and Single sales.
