I don't mind it, but I think it's unfair how some of the mainstream rappers get all this success and acclaim for lyrics that they didn't write (i.e. Drake).
But if you're a rapper that can't write your own lyrics, you're a sham. Regardless of how watered down hiphop has become. The basic principles of writing your own bars should remain the same.
I thought it was unethical until Meek called Drake out for it and everyone was like "Hmmm whatever" That would've been HUGE in the 90's and could've ended his career. Look at Milli Vanilli.

I think it's more of a stigma in hip hop than in pop bc rappers are known for being "story tellers" whereas popstars are known for serving bops. (This is a pretty one-dimensional/stereotypical take on the genres I know but it's just for argument's sake). So it might give you a bad name in the hip hop community (unless you're Drake apparently lol no shade) but in my opinion there's nothing wrong with it.
