After flopping last year's promising countdown, I am back with a vengeance to commit to and finish my Best of 2014 and have it be one that is entertaining and full of variety! Here we will be paying tribute to my year-round favourites in music, television & men () and I hope everyone will join in the fun! At the end of the day, this is my personal countdown that I'm sharing so of course it will be highly biased as I stick behind my faves till the death, but I tried to throw in a lot of flavours for all 7 LISTS I have compiled for this year. Without further to do, let's take a look at what we will be counting down for 2014!

The biggest list of the year... my Top 100 songs! I spent an age cutting my shortlist of over 220 songs down to 100 and 10 'bubbling unders'. You will find 100 brilliant original songs I could replay over and over which gave my ears sweet bliss all year along. These songs were mostly released between December 14 2013 - December 14 2014, with a few stand out songs I made exceptions for which were released closely before the cut off date and impacted me highly this year.
A list of 25 artists who I knew prior to this year that have delivered me great music and performances which impacted me this year. I have also compiled a mini-list of 10 "fresh meat artists" who I only discovered (and or) made their mainstream debuts this year that left me searching up and down for more.
It is rare that I find albums which are strong and consistent from top to bottom, but these 15 are definitely among the ones I do. 15 albums which engaged me for the whole listen through will be shared here!
This is my secondary top songs countdown for the year. This list includes 30 songs which got me going straight away and made me wonder how on earth I hadn't heard it before. The release date of these songs range from all the way back in the late 1970s to more modern stuff from the first two years of the 2010s.
As well as being a lover of music and pop music fiend, I am also a frequent reality TV watcher and have this year especially begun to get really into some scripted series too. Some shows I followed this year include American Idol, X Factor UK & The Voice, America's Next Top Model, RuPaul's Drag Race, Big Brother UK, American Horror Story, Nikita, How to Get Away with Murder & The Real Daytime. Look out for contestants and characters from these shows who really had me mesmerized by their performances on TV.
Self explanatory - some hot ass men I discovered this year through social media or TV which I feel obliged to share for some extra oomph to my countdown. Keep your eyes out for them
