Oxygen's Best of 2015 | Final update posted, #1 Revealed
Welcome to my Best of 2015 countdown where we shall countdown my top artists, albums, tracks and videos of the past year!
Throughout this year we saw some spectacular releases over the wide array of genres. We had a few breakout stars deliver some incredible music, as well as old talent making bold and successful comebacks. Overall, we were left spoilt with the incredible offerings from a our favourite artists to enjoy all year long.
First up we will explore and discuss my top 25 favourite artists of 2015. These were selected and ranked based on the success, acclaim and quality of their endeavours for the past year. Artists that ranked in between 25th and 10th place will be revealed 2 at a time, and then the artists within Top 10 will be announced individually so we can focus on and celebrate their success and accolades they received throughout 2015.
Next up we shall look at the 25 best albums that were released this year, based on their quality and also on how much they impacted my listening habits this year. These will be announced after we find out who is my top artist for 2015 in groups of 4 to begin with.
For the main event, we shall be discussing the top 100 tracks that I have been living for over the past year. These were also decided by assessing their quality, personal play count and how much they meant to me. They will be revealed 5 at a time up until the top 20 where the rest will be announced individually. This will hopefully conclude on my birthday which is the 24th of January.
Concurrent to the Top 100 Tracks countdown, we shall also be exploring my 10 favourite videos of the year. These were ranked on its visuals, impact, and also of the quality of the song featured in the video. These will be announced every 10 tracks, with #1 being revealed alongside the #1 track of the year.
To finish the countdown off, we shall be naming and shaming 10 of the worst songs that were released. As taste and quality is subjective, these are based on my personal taste and whether I enjoy the track or not. The artist involved may have a contributing factor as well.
This will finish off my Best of 2015 as a little bonus and should end by the 31st of January.
