Adele is having the most album success irrespective of Gaga's large first-week, but Gaga has been everywhere and her album is big news right now. Rihanna and Katy also have tours occurring and new singles being released, so they're very popular right now, too. The only ones I didn't vote for were Britney, Ke$ha, and Christina.

99cent pricing, 4 American Idol promo spots, Oprah, Leno, Glee, Grammys , Dateline, GMA, BBA (indirect), HBO, 4 singles, Ellen, and the list goes on.

She's had the biggest pre-album promo campaign than any artist probably in the last 10 years. Adele hasnt.

Her singles are not having nearly as a big an influence as Perry; which means radio and her explosure on a daily basis is nothing compared to Perry.

If it wasn't for interscope pooring in millions in promotion and buzz, her sales would of flattened along with Jud as as.

It's just Gaga's release week. If she can maintain this success, exposure, and fame past her release week, then I'll put her above Katy. But right now, no.
