And swifties donT bother bringing receipts in here, this is about the QUALITY of the album. High quality albums such as Aquarius, LP1 etc flopped commercially so receipts are irrelevant here.

No. People on this forum just don't seem to graps the concept of different opinions. I swear everytime a new song hits #1, or a new artist finds huge success, everyone who doesn't like the song or the artist starts labelling them as overrated, like they expect the charts to be a exact demonstration of their tastes.
It is, and it is sad that she got all the media coverage for it. I mean Bad Blood got hyped up like it would be the best shady draggish song of the last years and it is far from good.
Taylor has made so much better songs in the past and she get all this achievements for this pretty basic album.
I don't like it, but so many other people do.... Just not my cup of tea. I wouldn't say it's overrated for everyone bc Taylor's fans really seem to enjoy it! But for me it is
I personally find it way too over-rated. It's run-of-the-mill pop music that others have done better in the past. I guess it could be considered the "best pop album" of the year, since this has been a pretty bad year for mainstream pop music.

And 1989 isn't even getting THAT much praise from critics, it's not like it has an 85 on MC like BEYONCE.
