I am confused .I am 18 male straight .I should be going out having fun and partying like my friends but i prefer sitting home all day and read a book . I am nervous around new people but i love socializing and i want to but due to some reason I am not able to .
I read this buzzfeed article and i know they are not a site to be referred to but it so true in my case ?

When I am alone i don't even check my phone but when im out with my friend or family I awkwardly keep checking my phone every 10 mins
Well. Introvert doesn't mean just being 'shy'. It also means you get your energy from alone time, or "recharge" by being in solitude. I'm an introvert, but I still go out, party, hang out with people etc.
I'm cocky as hell, but I still need to be alone once in a while to regain my composure.
I love it too but people around me keep on forcing me to speak
For example if im sitting by myself and listening to everyone quietly the first question thrown at me is "what happened ? why are you so upset?" and on the inside im like Bitch im listening to you im not depressed
