Poll: Has Rihanna ever been on top?

In all seriousness, Rihanna has been very successful when it comes to hits, and I commend her greatly for that.

However, when I look at the careers of Britney, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, etc, they have been revered by the media and general public. They seem to have gone through universal love and intense backlash due to being universally loved. They have truly been on top of the game with their star power, and have had several defining moments in their career because of that.

I don't think I have seen Rihanna's star power ever get to that place. Has she ever truly been on top, or has she just been extremely consistent?

I've never seen her get to the level of fame that Britney, Gaga, and Bey had.

But her career defining moment was her and Chris and she will always be remembered for that.

+1. Although, I'd argue late 2010 and early 2011, even though part of that has been shared with Lady GaGa to an extent.

No one else was much of a threat during those years. Overall, Rihanna has ruled a great portion of the 2000s and the 2010s so far.

This decade she was SLAYING everyone. I mean she has sold around 15 million albums WW, and more than 40 million singles just in the US. Call that not being on top and forget about Adele.
