Kid CuDi - Man On The Moon
Top 5 Tracks:
1. Day N Nite
2. Make Her Say
3. Pursuit of Happiness
4. Heart of a Lion
5. Solo Dolo
Comments: Day N Nite and Make Her Say was obvious. I actually wasn't feeling it as much at first but then when I came back to my crib stoned one day I was like man this album is freaking amazing. Sure its a stoners album but I'm stoner and that's what I like and it is what it is.
50 Cent - Before I Self Destruct
Top 5 Tracks:
1. Strong Enough
2. The Invitation
3. Psycho
4. Then Days Went By
5. Death To My Enemies
Comments: I'm proud to say that I'm a 50 Cent fan once again **** the numbers he couldn't do with his last album because that doesn't change how much better this album was than Curtis. Songs like Strong Enough, The Invitation, the awesome collaboration with Eminem on Psycho, Days Went By and the Dr. Dre produced Death To My Enemies showed me there was a new 50 in town. Hell I even liked songs like I Got Swag thanks to the hot beat. Baby By Me was good but on this album that song is definitely a light weight. I'm a huge Game fan and now I'm a huge 50 fan as well and I definitely recommend for you listen to this album if you haven't done it already.
The Clipse - Till The Casket Drops
Top 5 Tracks:
1. I'm Good
2. Popular Demand
3. Kinda Like A Deal
4. All Eyes On Me
5. Counseling
Comments: First off let me say that Pharrell and the Neptunes since the N.E.R.D. album have been on fire and their production on this album is clearly a 10 and it doesn't hurt to have Malice and Pusha T of the Clipse who can spit some hot fire verses "blow 100 thou in a recession"
Eminem - Relapse
Top 5 Tracks:
1. Beautiful
2. Underground
3. Deja Vu
4. Stay Wide Awake
5. 3 AM
Comments: Pretty damn good comeback album from Eminem if not a classic at least close. His rhyme scheme on some songs were incredible like Insane or Stay Wide Awake or Underground or 3 AM. And the emotional songs were amazing like Beautiful or Deja Vu. Even the weak songs like We Made You or the catchy Crack A Bottle go along with this album. I'm so freaking ecstatic for Relapse 2 now especially since the Forever verse!!!
Jay-Z - The Blueprint 3
Top 5 Tracks:
1. Empire State of Mind
2. As Real As It Gets
3. Already Home
4. Thank You
5. So Ambitious
Comments: So once again Jay-Z is my #1 this time for albums not just singles. This project he put together was even better than his last album. I just love the motivational songs from Empire State of Mind to the well Pharrell assisted "So Ambitious". Guest appearances were on point including Kanye West, Young Jeezy, Kid CuDi and of course the one and only Alica Keys. Despite all the rumors after the very controversial On To The Next One I still believe Jay-Z has an explanation so my countdown shall be named after that song in his honor. Not to mention getting to see him perform at my school in 2009 is something I will never forget. His lyricism on Venus Vs Mars is incredible. Young Forever actually became a tolerable song for me too thus making this album a classic no album was better this year in my opinion. Time for me to once again throw the Roc Up In The Air once again!
