These are the greats. The cool kids. The men responsible for some of the most acclaimed and incredible music of this past decade so far. They span multiple genres and work with some of the biggest stars and the biggest and brightest up-and-comers. All of them have several things in common - their aesthetic and approach to music is something beyond what we see in contemporary pop. Its that approach that delivers catalogs of critical darlings that represent the new generation of music and keep things exciting. Yet, despite their similarities, they are each able to innovate in ways that keep us wanting more. They've gone head to head before - take a quick look at the Pazz & Jop polls or the Pitchfork Year Ends and you'll see their work near the top. Now, its time for ATRL to decide who gets crowned the coolest of the new producers.

	Devonte "Dev" Hynes With a pointedly 80s production that brings out the best of the (usually) ladies he works with, Dev invokes a thumping, anthemic, hits you straight in the soul atmosphere with almost everything he touches. You might recall him from one of his various projects (i.e. Blood Orange) but perhaps the best known and best acclaimed? Sky Ferreira's "Everything Is Embarrassing" - THE hit for this generation and arguably the best pop jam in ages. We will be rating 14 songs. Tinashe (feat. 	Ariel Rechtshaid No matter where you look in terms of the biggest and best of 2013 music - Ariel was there. Working with bands galore from Haim to Vampire Weekend - and generally producing what will be ingrained as the most beloved indie jams of said year, there is something to be said for the great diversity within his productions. He brings out the best in the star he's with - could anyone else pull out "Climax" from a late-career Usher? We will be rating 14 songs. Popstars have flocked to his precision-based nostalgic production - with great results. But it runs deeper than that. We've seen the success in his productions and we've seen the way they hypnotize the audience - a trance-like state of straight pop-euphoria. We will be rating 17 songs. So what's the deal? You're probably wondering why its such a specific list of 65 songs. The reason is that in order to properly assess these producers, I wanted to ensure the greatest variety in their work which means bringing in singles and album tracks alike as well as material they've co-produced. I've tried to represent the most artists as possible while maintaining a standard of their most notable and important work.

There may be songs you miss but this is the list and its what we'll use to decide who the coolest "new" producer is.

Blurred Lines blatant sexism is definitely a buzz kill but I like the melody and music to it.

And I grew to love Happy actually. I just couldn't deny it's anti-depressant power after awhile.
