Adele Headed for Second Week Atop Hot 100; Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber Set for Debuts
'HELLO,' No. 1, AGAIN: Industry forecasters suggest that "Hello" could sell 500,000 in the week ending Nov. 5. Released Oct. 23, it sold 1,112,000 in its first week (ending Oct. 29), shattering the mark for most downloads sold in a week, passing Flo Rida's "Right Round," which moved 636,000 (Feb. 28, 2009, according to Nielsen Music).
GRANDE ENTRANCE: Industry forecasters are also looking at 110,000 downloads sold for Ariana Grande's "Focus" in its first week. Combined with projected streaming and airplay figures, the track appears set for a debut in the Hot 100's top 15 next week.
THE BIEBER 'SHOW': Meanwhile, Justin Bieber could boast two songs in the Hot 100's top 5 next week.
After "Sorry" entered the Nov. 14 Hot 100 at No. 2 with 277,000 downloads sold (and 23.1 million U.S. streams and 33 million in radio audience), industry forecasters peg the song to sell 150,000 in its second week. Such a sum, along with second-week streaming and airplay, should keep the song in the Hot 100's top five.
Bieber is also looking at a top 40 Hot 100 debut for "I'll Show You," another song from his Nov. 13 album Purpose. The track could start with sales of around 120,000.
