Create a Label 6: Done, But Not Forgotten. #RIP
Every player starts out with a label -- 75 points goes along with it. Every artist you sign will cost 10 points; and the costs for releasing stuff is further down the page. With an artist you release singles, eventually albums and you promote and such. At the beginning of each week (Sunday) weekly charts will be released. There will be a 'Singles Chart' & 'Albums Chart' -- you earn hits, and plenty of points that way. I will be keeping track of points.
Promoting is what you do in the game 95% of the time. You write articles, the articles will be on your artist performing on televised stuff, controversies, announcing new things, etc, etc. The possibility is endless.
As someone who's played every season; I know most of the time you are just NOT here for having to do 902302 articles especially when you do so and still flop. The article limit this season is 20 articles. With minigames, touring (not included in article limit), etc in this season you have more time to focus on those. Promoting / Articles will count towards most of your promotion the week, so it's important to have these as your top priorty.
Albums & Other:
Albums -- 20 points: An album should best be released after 1 or 2 singles, to start off with stable sales. An album's performance will be measured on the Albums Chart, which depends on promotion and your current singles performance.
EPs -- 10 points: If you're not ready to start with an album, or like to do an EP right off the bat -- they are available for half the price. Ofcourse, sales won't be as big as an full-length LP but, it's still a source of cute income.
Re-releases -- 10 points: When you have an album and would like to add more tracks as a the era doesn't stop doing well, you can.
Singles & Other:
Singles -- 5 points: The simple thing everyone releases first, a single to get your artist started. Promotional singles, and such cost the same. A collaboration costs double.
Official Remix -- 5 points: If you release an official remix featuring another artist, it will cost 5 points for the release.
Remix EP's -- 10 points: Some people release remix EP's for extra points; these will be a hefty cost but also help a song.
Something new implemented this season; you WON'T want to miss out on when playing. Hyped Opportunities mainly go in place of what were paid promotional spots in previous seasons. Those were taken away in CAL5 due to them basically being given to the same people every week who came in the thread first. So in solution of somewhat bringing it back -- this will be completely fair.
2 "opportunities" (game or challenge) every week will be given. One will be for a special promotional gain that will help you greatly on the charts. It could be a radio deal, it could be a thread title, etc. Whatever the prize that week is will help you on the charts.
The 2nd opportunity will be for the Hyped Magazine which was in place last season. The winner will have their artist cover the magazine -- 2nd and 3rd place get an interview. This will also help you on the charts.
The opportunities will mostly be mini-games that determines winners, as done in CAL2 for extra points. Sometimes they might be challenges around ATRL, but I don't think those will happen. Participating in either is optional!
Touring
Touring plays a bigger role this season too! Artists will tour once they release material, which means you must release a new album before touring. Touring will help an artist sell a little extra copies of their album ; and is mainly album promotion. Although when needed to break tie-breakers -- it will be factored in.
Touring Rules / Guidelines:
-- You must tour atleast 10 dates.
Each date cost 5 points.
You can mix & match. 5 date maximum per week (3 with an EP). The more dates you do weekly, with bigger sized performances will boost your album sales.
This season you earn back points from touring. Tours also do not count towards your article limit. The top tour weekly gets 1/2 their points back, the 2nd top tour weekly gets 1/3 their points back, and the rest get 1/4.
Special Events
Special Events, something I've been urging be down more often in the past -- is in place this season too. Special Events include things such as Award Shows where you win Awards, and you perform. If we get far enough we'll do things such as Grammys, VMAs, etc in which labels nominate their artists and discographies for things such as "Best Pop Album", "Best Rap Artist", etc. Winning will result in single and album boosts like in real life for charts; along with the fact you get to brag. Performances will also happen during these, which also cause huge boosts for sales.

Zendaya signs with Republic Records, releases new single
"Gunshots"
Produced by Mike Will Made It; written by Brian Soko, Michael L. Williams II
Earlier today, Republic Records released a statement announcing, that Zendaya, the famous singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, fashion designer, book author and much much more, has signed a brand new recording and publishing deal with their label, Republic. Many people who are interested in the music industry probably were a bit surprised as they thought that Zendaya is no longer interested in music career, as her debut self-titled album opened with very poor numbers last year, and she didn't get a lot of support from her label, Hollywood Records, as well. Republic Records president said that he is super excited to work with Zendaya and release her new music under Republic: "Depending on her debut album, as well as on what she already has recorded for her upcoming sophomore album, I think that Zendaya is an excellent artist who knows how to make good, and interesting music. I think people will be surprised when they hear Zendaya's new sound." When Zendaya was asked to comment on the situation with her previous label, she just smiled and explained: "I think that Hollywood Records is a great music label, but after I released my debut album & "Replay", I suddenly realized that we have different goals and thoughts about the music. I just wanted to release my music so it could be heard, and they wanted success and high chart positions."
After Republic Records put out that press statement, they also immediately released Zendaya's brand new single, called "Gunshots", on iTunes and Amazon. The 3:37 long track, produced by urban music titan, Mike Will Made It, who also found his success last year as an music producer, and written by Brian Soko and Mike, tells a story about running from the things that you are afraid to face, for example, your personal problems that you don't want to admit having, or facing someone you didn't want to face - everyone, who has avoided something in their life, can relate to this song. "Gunshots" is an urban/rhythmic mid-tempo song with well written and very effective/relatable lyrics. Song's instrumental focuses on the quality, it all sounds very organised and clean. The instrumental perfectly mashes up with Zendaya's soft voice, and that simplicity just creates that harmony, which makes the song basically a hit. Zendaya commented on the song: "It's a brand new sound that I've tried, and I've never done this before, you know, that urban sound, and the lyrics are way more serious and meaningful than anything on my last album. By releasing this song I think I'm showing the world that my music, as well as my writing skills, improved. I love the instrumental of the song as it's not that fast, it's really good and catchy, but it doesn't distract attention from my voice, and intead, just perfectly harmonizes with it. This is just a little taste of what I've been doing, and there's a lot more coming up."
"Gunshots" instantly rose on iTunes charts as soon as it was released, and it reached Top 20 in just couple of hours. It also received a lot of positive reviews from various music and pop blogs. The song was compared to something that Cassie or Ciara would create. When Zendaya was asked about her upcoming sophomore album, which was already confirmed by Republic Records president, Zendaya instantly answered the question, which made us think Zendaya has recorded some of the stuff for the album: "It's on its way and I'm already loving what we already have. Everything is so good, I'm working with really known names at the moment, I have some collaborations, I'm working with popular producers, like Mike Will Made It. I started recording my new music last year, around October, but it was just fooling around and just having some fun, I didn't even tell anyone I started to record new music. "My Baby" remix happened while we we're recording the new music, as well. Everything got serious when Republic offered me a deal, then I started to seriously record music. When I signed with Republic, the vision of my upcoming album became clear and I just wanted to spend all my time in the studio. Everything's on the album is as perfect as possible, and I think we have like, about 11 songs at the moment, that are really finished and are ready to go. Besides that, we're working on bunch of other songs. I don't want to name all of my producers just yet, but at least I can confirm Mike Will Made It for now, since he produced the lead single anyways." Unfortunately, according to Zendaya, she isn't sure when the upcoming album will be finished & released, but at least we have the perfect lead single "Gunshots" at the moment.

We have to pay for remix EP's? And you said we had to release a new album before touring, but what if I want to continue my last era?

I have bad luck literally every time I try playing this, but I'll think about it.
For now, my record is Hug Lyfe. Do I have to choose an artist immediately when signing up?

If you're continuing a last era you can tour.
& yeah, or else everyone is gonna just do remixes all the time. You don't even have to pay to perform anymore and you have more points to start off this season so you'll have enough points.

No, but if you don't want an artist in mind to get taken by someone else you should sign them right now.
