Britney Spears to introduce a new genre for the new decade
Quote:
Italian fansite, bsworld.com, has talked with producer Fernando Garibay (Amnesia) and he told them that Britney's new tracks are Dark Vampiric Electro. He also added that she's working on two different projects and some of the songs that she recorded will be included in the Singles Collection, due this October.
dead, but I think "dark electro" has already been tapped into by a few mainstream artists. I can't think of any that were really huge besides "Disturbia" and maybe "SexyBack" though..I love that sound though. Dark sounding music in general has always held a special place in my heart
LOL @ all the Gaga stans thinking that she's actually invented a genre
Brit is the reason artists like Gaga exist. Now, if you don't have anything constructive to say, get out.. you don't like Brit, it has nothing to do with you.

Ehhh. That's a bit of a reach. If Britney never came around back then, Jessica and them would have replaced her. Not hating, but Britney didn't really become anything special musically until her third album. I'm quite sure GaGa would still have come about being that Britney has never ever sounded like GaGa.

Yeah, good point. In The Zone I think was the most distinctive too.
Has anybody actually heard 'Dark Vampiric Electric' before who aren't just making comparisons based on an album title and a music video theme?

Yeah. ITZ was when Britney came into her own as an artist. Her third album wasn't as unique but I still look at it as an artistic achievement of sorts. The Janet/MJ influence was very obvious there..
and as far as this Dark Vampiric Electric mess goes..it sounds like something Nine Inch Nails has done already. Perhaps t.A.t.U as well? I'm thinking it'll just be Pop w/ Industrial and Metalcore influences...
it'll probably sound like this with more radio appeal:
