Ugh... Waiting for everyone in here to say Adele even though she can sing better than most of ATRL's faves.
Anyways... Even though I love her, Beyoncé's voice is definitely overrated. It's not as good as people claim it is, but it's still one of the best voices out there right now. I think Mariah Carey's voice is really overrated, though. Yeah, she can sing, but she is so freaking annoying, and with a voice like that, there is no excuse for her to lip sync as often as she does. Plus, even if she has a good voice, I wouldn't call it incredibly listenable. It gets old really fast.
Jessica Simpson and Christina Aguilera.... They have good vocals, they just tend to abuse the power with them and over sing all their songs and notes where it makes their voices sound off :-\
I don't think Beyonce is overrated at all vocally. She never oversings and only belts when it's necessary and when she does, it sounds great. Her technique is good too.
