Amel is more of a Mariah than a Beyoncé (she's flopping hard when she "tributes" her) but her tour is successful.
I don't know if Zayra will make it. It has become extremely hard in France to make a career after joining a singing competition. The golden days of the Jenifer, Nolwenn, Julien, Emma, Christophe or Elodie are a thing of the past, so it seems.


Britney gave birth to Alizée, Lorie, Priscilla,... All her sweet but sexy marketing was paste on almost every young female singer coming into the french pop scene. They're all more or less flopping right now but were huge at their peak and people still remember them. There was also that guy (Slimy?") who covered "Womanizer" and had a hit song with "Wake Up" and Yael Naim who made waves with her "Toxic" cover just before the "New Soul" smash, used in the apple commercial.
And Shy'm's 2012 smash "Et Alors", that finalized her transformation as a pure popstar, had Britney written all over it.

I'm trying to think of a succesful french Beyoncé clone and I can't find any, except Amel but she's far from the kind of success she used to have with her first three albums...

Bey's influence is major. I've noticed that artists who seem to be influenced by Bey are usually huge fans and it isn't just a marketing thing.

your attempt at dragging Beyoncé legacy is stale. R&B is not that huge in France. even in US R&B decreased, leave alone the rest of the world. once you impacted, no one cares if the copycats are successful or not.

Amel Bent's Ma Philosophie is one of the most classic song of the past decade in France. release mid decade but still 10m views. (pretty rare for french videos).

Zayra didn't release her first album yet, the video you posted is her first lead single. She is a pop/RnB artist.

Amel Bent is doing good on tour but her last album is not selling good at all.
